Sega Sammy to Acquire Stakelogic for $130 Million

Sega Sammy is set to acquire Dutch live casino supplier Stakelogic, expanding its presence in the online gaming market. The agreement involves Sega Sammy Holdings, through its subsidiary Sega Sammy Creation, purchasing 100% of Stakelogic's equity shares for an initial €130 million ($325 million), with additional earnout payments based on performance metrics.

This acquisition will merge Stakelogic's extensive portfolio of online slot games, live casino studio capabilities, hybrid game offerings, and in-house game development with Sega Sammy's global distribution network. Post-acquisition, Stakelogic's CEO, Stephan van den Oetelaar, will continue to lead the company.

Van den Oetelaar stated, "Sega Sammy and Stakelogic share a common passion for online entertainment, innovation, and technology. Together with Sega Sammy, Stakelogic will be able to grow its international operations much faster. The regulated iGaming market is expected to double in size in the coming years. As part of Sega Sammy, we will have the execution power to become one of the leading players in the iGaming B2B industry."

The sale is subject to regulatory approvals in relevant jurisdictions and other customary conditions, with the transaction expected to close by the second quarter of 2025.

Earlier this month, Stakelogic partnered with Hardrockcasino.nl to provide its complete suite of online slots and live casino games. This collaboration included integrating Stakelogic’s Chroma Key Studio technology, enabling Hardrockcasino.nl to offer a fully branded live casino experience.
