International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a contract with the Ohio Lottery Commission to provide its Intelligen central monitoring system for video lottery terminals (VLT).
This contract, which starts on May 31, 2024, and ends on June 30, 2033, was awarded through a competitive bidding process. Ohio also has the option to renew the agreement for up to two more one-year terms.

Under this agreement, IGT will supply both hardware and software for the Intelligen central monitoring system, which will continuously monitor and support more than 10,000 VLT machines.

These VLT machines are located in seven racinos across Ohio: Belterra Park Cincinnati, Eldorado Scioto Downs, Jack Thistledown Racino, Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course, MGM Northfield Park, and Miami Valley Gaming.

Nick Khin, IGT's COO for Gaming, said: "We are excited to provide our top VLT products and solutions to the Ohio Lottery Commission. Winning this competitive process shows IGT's commitment to innovation and excellence in central monitoring systems, and it reflects the hard work of our dedicated team."

In related news, IGT recently extended its contract with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation for three more years. This extension includes the addition of a mobile convenience app, 28 new self-service terminals, and the Sales Wizard retail automation tool.
