When I set out to find the best arcades in Las Vegas, I didn’t just look for places with a bunch of games, I wanted places that offer the full experience. So, in this blog, I include 5 arcades that are fun for the whole family during the day but also have a more adult vibe at night for those who want to keep the party going. Let’s check them out now!

5 Best Arcades in Las Vegas You Must Check Out For

Not to keep you waiting, below are the top 5 arcades in Las Vegas based on variety, fun atmosphere, and quality of service.

#1. Player 1 Video Game Bar

  • Location: 2797 S Maryland Pkwy #24
  • Ages: 21+
  • Price: $7/person

If you’re into the retro gaming scene, this is the spot for you. The place is packed with a variety of old-school arcade cabinets and some newer games, such as Guitar Hero being a standout.

What caught my eye were the TVs above the bar, they weren’t showing sports but were dedicated to gaming! All I had to do was request a game and controllers from their super friendly, cosplaying staff, and I was set for the night; the staff was passionate about gaming and made the whole experience feel laid-back and welcoming.

Of course, no visit would be complete without grabbing a drink. The craft beer and cocktail selection is top-notch, so you can sip on something good while button-mashing your way through a high score. And if you’re into anime or just love otaku culture, don’t miss out on Weeb Wednesdays!

#2. Velocity Esports Las Vegas

  • Location: 6587 S Las Vegas Blvd #171
  • Ages: All
  • Price: $8/person/hour

I heard about Velocity Esports Las Vegas being a go-to spot with multiplayer games (which were perfect for teaming up with friends), and I finally had the chance to check it out myself.

Velocity Esports Las Vegas is famous for multiplayer games

Located on the west side of Town Square, it’s a high-energy arcade, from ticket games to co-op shooters and racing games. What I really liked was how they track all your tickets on a playing card so that there is no need to deal with the hassle of carrying physical tickets.

Besides, Velocity steps it up with great food options and not one, but two bars to grab drinks from. And the esports area, with its consoles and PCs, is perfect for those looking to dive into some more serious gaming. It’s a great spot to hang out, and after my first visit, I can see why it's so popular. I'll definitely be back!

#3. Game Nest Arcade

  • Address: 4525 W Spring Mountain Rd
  • Ages: All
  • Price: $10/person/hour

Game Nest Arcade Las Vegas is one of my favorite spots to hang out, especially before or after dinner when no one’s ready to call it a night. It’s in a busy area with great restaurants like Nabe and Chubby Cattle, so parking can be a bit tricky, but if you don’t mind walking a little, you’ll find a spot.

Game Nest brings an Asian arcade vibe

When you step inside, you’ll feel an Asian arcade vibe right away. I’m not really into prize games, so its hourly rate works perfectly for me, especially since I love rhythm games. It’s such a good deal!

There’s a variety of games to enjoy: racing, rhythm, video, and even some physical games. They’ve got claw machines up front and cozy couches with TVs to rent for console time, too. The staff is usually friendly and seems like they enjoy their work. A great place to have fun and chill!

#4. Pinball Hall of Fame

  • Location: 4925 Las Vegas Blvd S
  • Ages: All
  • Price: From 25 cents/machine

My visit to the Pinball Hall of Fame was like stepping into a time machine. It’s more of a museum than your typical Vegas arcade, with rows of pinball and other unique machines that showcase decades of gaming history. The huge sign out front is hard to miss, and it’s conveniently within walking distance of the famous Vegas sign.

One thing I love is that it’s free to visit! There are hundreds of machines, though not all are operational all day long, given their age. If a machine wasn’t working and I lost a quarter, the staff were happy to help me get it back, which was nice.

The pinball machines range in price, from 25 cents for the older ones to a few dollars for the newer, more modern games. If you’re into pinball, or just want a fun, nostalgic stop in Vegas, the Pinball Hall of Fame is a must-visit!

#5. The Claw Arcade

  • Location: 4850 W Flamingo Rd
  • Ages: All
  • Price: Varies

The Claw Arcade has officially become one of my favorite places ever since I’m a huge fan of claw games! The setup is great because they rearrange the toys every so often, keeping things fresh and exciting.

The Claw Arcade is a heaven for fans of claw games

I spent $20 on tokens and definitely got my money’s worth, leaving with over $20 worth of stuffed animals. It’s rare to find claw machines that don’t feel rigged or impossible to win, but these games were totally fair. I was so excited that I was screaming louder than the kids there, and I’m not even embarrassed to admit it!

What to Consider Before Playing in An Arcade in Vegas

Before diving into arcade fun in Las Vegas, here are a few things to consider:

  • Game variety: Make sure the arcade offers the types of games you enjoy, whether it's retro classics, modern machines, or ticket games for prizes.
  • Cost: Many arcades run on a credit system, so check the pricing and package deals. Buying in bulk often gives you more playtime for less money.
  • Age restrictions: Some arcades may have age restrictions, especially in the evenings when they transition to a more adult-oriented atmosphere.
  • Location: Consider parking availability and proximity to other attractions like restaurants or casinos if you're planning a longer visit.
  • Crowds: Arcades can get busy, especially in the evenings or on weekends, so plan your visit accordingly to avoid long waits.
  • Food & drinks: Some arcades offer food and drinks, making it easier to hang out for longer without leaving the venue.

Believe me, these tips will help you have a smooth and fun arcade experience!
